Daniel Horstkamp

As the Solar Engineer for Energy Select, Daniel Horstkamp is responsible for the technical design and engineering of our solar energy systems, holding both a Journeyman Electrician license and the NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) certification. Daniel’s expertise is built on a practical foundation, having started with the company as an installer. This hands-on field experience provides invaluable insight into his current role, where he advanced from Lead PV Designer to his current engineering position. He also holds all required certifications from the leading manufacturers we install.

From a young age, Daniel has had an affinity for how things operate, an interest that grew from high school electrical training into a career in renewable energy. He is driven by the prospect of a clean and renewable power grid and finds fulfillment in an industry that brings people together under a common goal. A natural gearhead, Daniel’s passion for mechanics extends into his personal life, where he enjoys riding dirtbikes and working on cars.
