As an Energy Advisor, Mike Thompson brings a deep scientific understanding to his role, holding a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Georgetown University. A long-time advocate for renewable energy who wrote about the benefits of solar for The BayNet as early as 2015, he has been a dedicated member of the Energy Select team since 2019. This background in both physics and public education allows him to provide clients with clear, insightful analysis on how solar can benefit them.

Mike’s work is guided by a fundamental commitment to fostering a healthier environment for future generations. As a farmer, he has a hands-on connection to the land, and his work is further informed by his Catholic faith and its principles of stewardship. He and his wife, Barbara, are dedicated to living out these values, and Mike is passionate about helping other families achieve their own goals of energy independence and environmental responsibility.
